FAQ

I am a regular parent like most of you.  May be little more aware with my  parenting experience and knowledge I gained in last few years.

Before I had my children, I honestly didn’t give much of a thought to parenting. After all, parents have done this for ages… how hard can it be, right?

Oh, how wrong I was!

My children challenged me every step of the way. They are my bundle of happiness one minute and a source of abject exasperation the next. Raising them has made me come face to face with the depth of my character and the shallowness of it. I revel in my strengths one moment and the next, I am moved to tears by my weaknesses.

In 2014, I took a decision to devote my life to make sense of it all. Its been a fascinating and fulfilling few years since! These programs and e-learning is in some sense a culmination of everything I set out to do then — be curious, learn, keep an open mind and find a way to really enjoy the journey while finding a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

I hope you find as much value in participating in this journey with me, as I am putting it together!

Along with knowledge, it is important to have character also. Then only can one can enjoy perfect balance in life. What is the use of acquiring and amount of knowledge available in the world if one does not have character?

One must have holistic approach for academic, environmental and human excellence. It promotes self-transformation in children, young adults and families.

Children and parents develop the ideals of good citizenship, service to the community and compassion towards all people.  In turn, they bring love and peace into their families and the community.

Because let’s face it… Parenting is HARD & CHALLENGING! It’s not taught by anyone…No degree earned … Ask yourself, did your graduation & post graduation has any topic directly or indirectly related to Parenting (unless you are a student of Human Psychology / People Behavior)

There are no scripts. There is no manual. And there are no guarantees of any sort. And to make matters even more difficult, no two kids are alike. Even the same child will behave differently every next moment.

Psychologists defined four types of intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your comprehension ability”, solve maths; memorize things and recall subject matters.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others; keep to time; be responsible; be honest; respect boundaries; be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ):
This is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People having higher EQ and SQ tend to go farther in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize in improving IQ level while EQ and SQ are mostly left aside.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your character; your SQ represents your charisma.

EQ and SQ make one manage better than the other.

Pls don’t teach children only to have higher IQ , but also to have higher EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one :
A new paradigm

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ):
The measure of our ability to go through a rough patch in life and come out without losing our mind.

AQ determines who will give up in face of troubles and may abandon their families.
In the context of Corona, many professionally successful people are going thru bouts of Depression. Because they are unprepared for Adversity.

To parents:
Expose children to other areas of life than academic. They should adore manual work, sport and art in a balanced manner.

Develop their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently.

Finally, do not prepare the road for the children. Prepare the children for the road.
